This was a typical talk from Dr. Hrabowski, which it means it was totally great and refreshing! IT was rather brief. He talked for roughly 20 mins then took questions. His talk was based on education, leadership, and the importance of networking. He spoke on his efforts in transforming education and how he has become so sought after in that area has been due to his ability to focus on strategies that work for all kinds of students. He stressed the importance of not only developing yourself academically, but also through networking and leadership. Overall, I left this talk feeling empowered and reinvigorated about graduate school.

Furthermore, after talking to one of my colleagues for his insight on this talk we agreed on Dr. Hrabowski ability to appeal and reach multiple segments. His message holds the same weight no matter who he is talking to. We marveled at his speaking ability. He had mentioned in a response to a question that he reads alot despite his busy schedule. We hypothesized that his speaking ability and how he is able to come up with talks seemingly off the top of his head may come from his reading habits.
